Now it seems its a formal, adult dress code piece. The band is only on at 10:00. He messaged me today and said a bunch of people cancelled. Its titled a red carpet gala. Now it will only be 50-60 ppl. So I will simply entertain until the bands come on. Kind of sounds like ppl wont even be showing up until lik 8:00 or 9:00. As or my tricks listed above. I do the standard 3 sets of 3. The other ones I keep behind the bar to switch it up if need be... I could do an entire show with a few pieces of rope, a ring and a TT ...I have before and had great success.. but it's just not my style. But I agree with your post .. ppl probably got the wrong impression due to my thread's title: night club gig. I was told there was amazing lighting by the bar .. no crazy young adults being rowdy snatching cards throwing up everywhere. Totally different venue. This provides me the opportunity to do some other stuff besides flashy, quick routines. I probably still wont go on stage though. I don't think. This forum has firghtened e a bit from doing the magazine test I had planned on. lol |

How did 3 sets of 3 become a "standard " of some sort?
This thing had changed so drastically from what you first describe it hardly seems like the same job.

3 sets of 3? Sorry .. may not be he standard per se.. just the standard for me. But I feel like many magicians use the 3 sets of 3 thing .. most my magic buddies anyways. Works for me table hopping. By the time I reach the 4th table .. the first table can't really see a repeat of my the 1st set again. Which I prefer. To each their own guess
Danny .. it isn't the same job as initially described. I've updated as it's changed. Kind of annoying that it changed so much. Ah well .. Not worried. I'll adapt. |

I wrote a reply to your response above. It pretty much said what Danny and Cheese Wrestler just said. --Plus a few comments of my own regarding your grammar!
An internet malfunction lost the whole $#%% thing, and I just don't have the time to rewrite it. Your last two posts "reveal" again the confusion you created.

Gig went amazing. No stage stuff. When the host gave a shout out to me I received a standing ovation. Picked up 5 gigs (2 b-days, 1 wedding, 2 parties).
It was beyond amazing. Thanks for the great advice!! |
