You always come up with some good questions, David. Thanks! However, I'm not sure I can answer that as I can interpret that several different ways. The reviews I feel best written are ones where I had to say a lot about the product, usually because it was not recommended or because it left a lot of key information out of the blurb. But if you're asking about reviewed effects that became my favorite, I'd have to go over fifteen years of them and my philosophy about reviewing has changed significantly since I started. I can say this, though, my favorite reviews tend to be the ones about effects which just sounded horrible from the description or ad copy, but upon looking at it, I concluded the exact opposite. So, I guess that answers part of your question.
One such effect that I can certainly recall is PowerBall 60. Oh, I knew what it was before I got it. And I thought the ad campaign was just incredibly deceitful. It deliberately tried to steer you away from thinking that you knew what the effect was because in the demo video they showed a PowerBall ticket card that was NOT one of the actual cards. If they did, it would confirm what PowerBall 60 is and I'm sure that they didn't want you to know that as it may negatively affect your buying decision. Knowing it was an old effect, pervasive in most magic kits and cereal boxes, I was ready to really rip into this. Well, my feeling towards the marketing stayed the same, but the effect was one that my audiences and students loved. Despite it being something that everyone should know, they don't and they're fooled. So, it is constantly in my pocket ready to go and I have a few back-ups just so that I will always have it. If I think of four others during this week, I'll add them. (Or if anyone remembers another one before I get to five, contact me) - Jheff

The five that come to mind at this moment right now (the list may change tomorrow) are, in alphabetical order:
Memo Mind Cards Mother of All Book Tests Triple Intuition Wizard's Manual Cue the Magic Those that are the first five that I can think of that I regularly use and like, but I may think of others later that I completely forgot about, and, of course, the list precludes my original material. - Jheff

Triple intuition is one of the few card effects I perform in my mentalism show, as part of the warm up for people coming in...it slays, the 2.0 version dani has released is even better, but better for a tabled performing situation...
