Who was the 2 man vent team that used life size figures? Half way thru the act the gorilla dummy would start dancing. I saw them yrs ago.

That was Carl Garray and Tomio.
Garray worked over the years under different names (if I recall, for a while he was known as Bob Karl).
When he teamed up with Tomio, the life sized (and very colorful) characters were introduced. If I'm not mistaken, they were all designed by Tomio....and it was Tomio inside of the gorilla puppet/costume.

I remember reading about them in Newsy Vents during the late 70s, early 80s. I seem to remember they were featured quite a bit.

I recall seeing them do their act on The Paul Daniels Magic show.. It would be so cool if they released it on DVD..
There were so many great acts on that show!

I got to see the act here in Montreal at a convention (non-magic) What ever happended to the act?
