Became engrossed in magic in recent months, taking my son's fascination as my own. As I've learned more I've found more I would like to learn.
In any case, hello! |

Hello eralph357
Welcome to the Café! How are you and your son (how old is he?) approaching this most worthwhile endeavor? Are you learning through books, DVD's, YouTube or a combination of everything? What specific resources do you already have? Julie |

Welcome eralph357.
It is wonderful to have someone else to talk Magic in the same household. Which way do your and your son's interests lie? -Mary Mowder |

My son is 9, and we have been learning through books and DVDs. We started with Mark Wilson's Magic Course, and one of Scarne's books on card tricks. We also have a not-so-great DVD. We've been focusing mostly on card magic so far. He LOVES Fool Us, and says he wants he and I to become the next Penn & Teller. My goals of course are more modest. My son is trying to plan out a routine he can perform for other kids at the library at the moment.

Welcome to the group, I'd love to hear how you and your son progress. I've got a 9yo son as well, maybe I can get him off the video games long enough to session with.
