I was just learning a chop cup routine that requires you to have a rather large ball (or lemon) in a pocket. Now I usually don't ever wear a suit, but I did try a sport coat for the routine. And though the smaller conceals were fine with the coat pocket, there was no good way to conceal the baseball in that pocket. I tried putting it in my pants pocket, and that "sorta" works, but thought I'd ask here what the experienced magicians have done about this?
Any tips? Thanks! Ken |

I do chop cup with a billiard ball and a large, steel, contact juggling sphere in my pants pocket. Slacks, of course. Nobody notices.
Some people like to wear a jacket and use ball drops. These can be bought or you can make your own. Sometimes when I do mini chop cup I'll use my right jacket pocket, but usually, and especially for the full size cup routine, I like the pants pocket. It's more natural, I think, to be going in and out of the pants pocket anyway. EDIT- Sorry, I just remembered you mentioned the baseball. Baseballs can be hard to get in and out of a pants pocket. Often I see people use them seated and lap them. You might try a ball drop or another final load that is more smooth and you can get out of your pocket easier.

Is it possible to conceal it beneath the table on which you are working? It can be held there magnetically or through a variety of other means.

I do have my own busker table. That could work! Also, please forgive my ignorance (I'm still pretty new), but what is a "ball drop?"
Thanks! Ken |

You may also consider a smaller cup and corresponding load. When strolling, I usually use a mini cup with small dog toys (tennis-like balls, 2 inch diameter) as final load. I use my back pocket when not wearing a jacket (I usually just wear a vest ). I find the surprise to be just as strong as the larger cup with larger load.
