Lance recently put out two downloads on Vanishing Inc., and they both look fantastic.
Here's the ad copy: Lance Pierce is an underground legend and one of the finest practitioners of classical sleight-of-hand magic you will ever see. He is a student of Roger Klause and Michael Skinner, and it shows in his work. We are so proud to have two EXCLUSIVE downloads, found only here at Vanishing Inc. Magic. Each download is comprised of three tricks and one move, and BOTH downloads are worthy of your careful study. Here's what you'll find: Vol. 1 Aces Up: The four Aces are meticulously and fairly lost in the deck, only to rise back to the top. There is a moment in the performance of this effect--you'll know it when you see it--when Lance flashes some indifferent cards to show the Aces have not yet risen. This fooled us completely. Gorgeous routine. A Logical Conclusion: Lance's masterful take on a Larry Jennings effect in which an entire packet of cards changes in the most unexpected manner. Modern Follow the Leader: Lance puts his eloquent touch on the classic plot. This is, we think, the definitive version of this classic effect. Deliberate Sidesteal Finesse: Lance adds a dribble into the middle of the Sidesteal action, which aids in making the sleight very casual and fair. Vol. 2 The Whisperers: Four Queens change into two selected cards in an unexpected way. Perfectionistic: This unusual plot (thanks to Paul Harris) is seldom seen, and here it gets the Lance Pierce treatment. Despite Lance's best efforts, he is magically unable to mix red cards into black cards. Every time he shuffles them together, they mysteriously separate. This is a masterclass in false shuffles and cuts, all taught by Lance (except for the Zarrow Shuffle, which is not covered). Cutting for Carey: An INGENIOUS routine in which you cut to four Queens, and then change them into the four Aces. Turnkai Change: A challenging but beautiful color change that is smooth as silk in Lance's deft fingers. |

I wholeheartedly agree. Even his Southern accent adds to the performance. I love his patter and attitude in the demo for Perfectionistic.

I asked Vanishing Inc and just FYI, volume 2 is 56 minutes long. I don't know why they don't post that very basic information.

Lance Pierce is unreal, and underrated. A man among boys.
Please do not get this if you are under the age of 30. It doesn't have the cliche overused Final Cut Pro gone wild, the cutaways of screaming spectators that look like they just witnessed a horrific accident, the dark brooding, mysterious music. All of that is childs play. It doesn't have the twitchy moves, and the nervous banter and "hey I'm young and hip" unpolished appeal of a scruffy college aged "magician" Instead it recalls the ghosts of Skinner, of Jennings, of the Professor, of Erdnase. There's not a single boomerang or twiddly fiddly card spin to be seen for miles. In other words, there's nothing to be seen here folks, move on. For those who remain, it will change the way that you do magic, and is an absolute, underrated, non-hyped stunner. |

Just got Volume 2 the other day. Love the effects. His work is truly silky smooth. Aesthetically pleasing to the eyes yet not showy. Lots to learn. He goes over some great false cuts in volume 2...learning Perfectionist.
