Is this ring flight any good at this low price?
Does it work smoothly? Is the routine that accompanies this different and entertaining? http://www.dickbarrymagic.com/cgi-bin/we......match=on |

I commend him for the attempt to produce a reasonably priced alternative but can't give positive review. I bought from him at the Magic Castle a year or so ago and have never used in a real performance for 2 reasons. 1. The clip that the ring appears on is so large compared to all others that is is very conspicuous and 2. the reel isn't strong enough (speed wise) IMO--it retracts too slowly. I just don't have confidence in the prop

I would like to comment on Davidcarlo's remark about the "clip being too large" While I have never seen Dick Barry's ring flite, I would not worry about the clip being larger than the regular clips on the unit. When the ring is in view, their eyes will be fixed on the ring & the ring only. No one will ever see the difference in the clips. As far as the speed, that's another problem, but keep in mind that it's not how fast it retracts. What is important is that the reel has enough pull to handle a heavy ring.
