I had and idea of a great trick. A barrowed coin is marked, and vanished. Insted of "being behind the spectators ear", it is behind mine. I rip off my ear, and remove the marked coin from behind my ear, and proceed to put my ear back on.
I am trying to think of a good vanish for the coin, and how to finish the routine with empty hands. Any input

Sorry, I thought I had an idea. Had to delete because it was pretty goofy.

The folks in the coin threads are a great resource for this kind of thing. Also, in the 'secret sessions' it is easier to discuss methods. For now, you might want to try a 'HOO' coin. Which can be marked and cleaned between performances.

Leave the coin inside your head before you put your ear back on. This will leave you clean.

No no no... this effect will never work. I mean, do you realize how much it's going to cost you in ER bills alone to have your ear stitched back on every night? Also, ears are hard to rip off. I know, I've tried. Perhaps you should rethink this one.

I hate to sound harsh but I don't think this will ever work without looking silly as ****!

Never mind the coin vanish, How are you going to pull your freaking ear off.

Peter Marucci has effect called "Ear from Coin" where you pull, well, you get it. Maybe this could be worked into your idea somehow. You could try PMing him for the details on his effect.
