I used Jerry's cards while they were still very easy to come by in Vegas. They were good quality cards. Did they last longer then any other deck of cards? Not really. There life span may have been just a tad bit longer then most cards at that time but not buy much.
There is a lot of hype surrounding the Jerry's Nugget cards that just isn't true. There quality is good yes. Are they anywhere near the holy grail in quality? No. That is a fact. Want to know what was a much better quality card then the J.N's? The old Bicycle fan back cards. Now there was a classy looking back design and they were even better quality than Jerry's cards. They were better in so many ways. Still not holy grail but sooo much better. |

I'm with you, AMcD;
Does anyone think too that a really, really big part of all the overhypin' about Jerry Nuggets started off when all that "Cardistry" BS started, especially after the Buck Twins reached a godlike level of awesomeness within the minds of youngster cardmen wannabes? Maybe I'm being too harsh, dunno. As for REALLYbeautiful and good quality cards, for my own usage and for my audiences' viewing pleasure, I'll stick with Fouriner 505s, Studs and Tally-Ho. I can buy a bunch of them that last longer than any single Jerry would. Plus, I am guaranteed to have enough cards to practice card shooting haha |
