Just trying to decide whether or not Shawlie was aware of the British slang when he referred to "juggling tricks for one or more tossers".
The Wizard Of Oz, by L. Frank Baum Awaking in a psychedelic landscape, a teenage girl kills the first person she meets before enlisting three strangers to help her kill again. I didn't write this one, unfortunately (I forget where I originally found it) but thought I'd share it here. |

Scott, I also would choose To Kill A Mockingbird..hey I said that in less than 25 words.
It's like eating Lays Potato Chips..can't stop at one. I would also choose Clan Of The CaveBear by Jean Auel. Stand By Me - Formally The Body , by Stephen King And one book that I frequently talk about to others..and have unfortunately misplaced some time ago not remembering the name or the author. It was written by a young woman whom had cerebral palsy and grew up in a group home where she was assumed to have diminished mental capacities as she couldn't speak or communicate.Years later, she was taught how to use the computer and using one finger took 5 years to write her book. It's an incredible story of how an intelligent mind is trapped inside a body that doesn't function and all her experiences with people whom assumed she didn't understand what they said about her and how she was treated.If anyone knows the name of this book I'd really appreciate it as I'd love to read it again. Oh no!! That was more than 25 words..apologies. C |

Scott, if you love the Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy you should really have a go at Terry Pratchett's discworld series. Different setting, same logic.
Fav book, Weaveworld by Clive Barker. A fantastic travel through a world woven into a carpet, one of the first titles where Barker shows he isn't "just a horror fiction author". And thanks Samuel! Had completely forgotten about Eyes of the Dragon....gonna reread it! :o) Kaj :o) |

Where the Wild Things Are, by Maurice Sendak.
I have lots of favourite books, but this was my first favourite book. Here it is in 24 words: Boy (Max) in wolf suit acts up, goes to bed without supper, travels to magical island of monsters, becomes king, attends celebratory wild rumpus. -Reg {*}

Great. :luv:
