Mr. Electric explains his version on his DVD. You will need a Milk in light bulb lamp. He used the Mak-Magic type of lamp, but Mak-Magic no longer makes this trick. Many of the others are around $300.
https://www.stevensmagic.com/shop/marvyn......-40-dvd/ The late Ted Leslie explains his version on his DVD, but he uses an ordinary lamp, and he use to sell a gimmick to attach to the lamp. Ted shows the gimmick on the video, so if you think you can bend metal and solder or weld, then you can make the gimmick yourself, or have it made by a welder in your area. Anyway, you will need this video to learn how to prepare the normal light bulbs for the trick, as you break a bulb with ever presentation. http://llepub.com/index.php?main_page=pr......s_id=376 This is not a close-up effect, it is only for stage or parlour type shows. |

Michael Ammar has a handling for this effect in "The Magic of Michael Ammar" book. It's not visual as such, but creates the illusion of the effect, if that makes sense. It can be done more or less impromptu with any bulb (you'll need a pocket hanky or napkin, and a wand or something to break the bulb).
The book can be hard to get hold of but comes up on eBay from time to time. Jim |
