I have it. It's great stuff. Very nice.

Also got it from Penguin. In short: It's amazing! The routine is a perfect mix of mentalism and readings. The reactions I got so far are purest amazement. It goes very deep. The bonus effects are also nice. Everything better than promised. If you are into mentalism or into any kind of readings - that's the one I recommend!

Surely just marked cards

Nope. Not that simple. There is much more behind Tarino. For example the unique and clever mnemonic system. And if that is not enough, also look at the different character reading techniques, each shown in real settings with strangers. Haven't seen something like that in ages.
When I hear marked cards I think of Boris Wild's marked deck or those other marked decks of playing cards where you can't put several cards face down next to one other in front of the spectator. That's obviously a very different cup of tea. |

I can also fully recommend this one. It gives amzing reactions and is easy to use. Unlike most tricks it can be performed fully surrounded, and can be repeated immediately. That, combined with the fantastic reactions makes it a clear winner for me.

I have to say this is good and the DVD explains everything in detail. Not a particularly good trick to do for friends or family because the premise doesn't work well, but if you do it for strangers, especially women who usually are more receptive to these kinds of effects, you'll have a real winner if you work it.

Funny this thread cropped up, I have been (on and off) looking for reviews (other than the Penguin ones) for a few months, and found zip, zero, nada. Seems like very few people have purchased this. I've had my eye on it, just need a bit more feedback, hopefully others chime in if it's that powerful.
Also, any word on Zodino or Codino, also by Andreas? |

Got this and I agree. An easy surefire method.

Do you purchase every effect that has a nice video designed to generate interest, or do you wait for few reviews? I have an interest in several videos, I don't buy simply based on a video, you should know that videos alone do not make something good to perform. Uh, Sansminds? If I made all my purchases solely based on the quality of marketing videos, I'd be broke... Not to mention I found it unusual that if the effect is that good, there was not the slightest discussion of it here (until now). The other members you refer to are two or three members with less than 10 posts. Doesn't mean their opinions are not valid, I was looking for more established members of the Café for their opinions (like yourself). Anyway, RNK also provided an endorsement (which is all I really wanted). So thanks John and RNK, I'll give it a whirl. |

I can't wait to use these cards. The structure of the routine really does most of the work for you and allows you to put together a very good cold reading for the participant.

It looks fairly interesting, can it also be performed with less cards?

You could. Then your reveal would obviously be with less info but I don't see why you couldn't.

I perform regularly for patients at the local rehabilitation hospital. I have learned that people's perspective and priorities change when, say, they have experience a stroke or had a hip replaced, and sometimes the number of attendees is small enough that we can bring wheel chairs around one large table and everyone can see the props. So this looks like a promising effect for this audience.
But I need to raise a question about everything coming on download. I have NO interest and little aptitude in arts and crafts projects. I never make stuff; maybe less often than that. So, my question is this. Could I take the pdf images on a thumb drive to Staples and have them make and laminate the cards for this effect? Or is something involved that makes it more complicated than this? Thanks, George |

You do have to cut the cards out, and they are double sided so you would have to fold them, then glue the fold together. Then get them laminated. So I guess you would have to check and see if Staples would do all of the above mentioned steps.
I do not like to do arts and crafts either but this project was one of the most painless for me, lol.....

RNK, thanks for your helpful response to my questions. I have decided to pass on this effect, because I already have more effects than I get around to performing and, upon more closely studying the range of "values" in the demo footage, I experienced less interest. This will be very good for many performers, however, and I admire the produce t and the thinking.

Look's nice but does not mention memory, what if your memory is not that great? just thought I would ask.

There's not much memory work involved, Fire Starter. I can't say more than that without exposing the method, but there's certainly no extensive memory work. You do have to remember one little detail about the cards, but I don't think you'd have any trouble with it. Believe me, I don't have a great memory so, if I can do, I'm sure you could too. Hope that helps!

This is a really slick approach.
I really love that the creator took so much care, time, and thought in his explanations. He is a very likable guy . His pride in his product shows. Another good star sign approach, although not 100%, and limited to only the star sign, is 10S. It's similar, but smoother and more complete (and "easier" imo) then some other pocket mentalism systems. This actually incorporates a reading into the method in a very logical way. Anyway, I absolutely recommend this. I also don't do arts and crafts, but..this is copying a few pages and adding a snip snip here, and a glue stick there. Even by my lazy standards, it's doable. (Having said all that, I'd buy them pre printed in a heart beat if that was an option Oh, and there's almost no memory work really. This isn't PA type brain busting. This is a steal. Please, if you read this far..just get it. I can't imagine this being a regretful purchase. Good day fellow X-Men 252TreeHugger
