Shawn McMaster auditioned for "America's Got Talent" (sic) TV show and lost after the first round. And he was okay with that. In fact, his goal was to not go forward to perform additional routines in future rounds. Why would someone have a goal to fail?
Shawn talks about his experience, why he came to the decision to appear on the TV show, the conversations with Eric Buss that convinced him to do it, his actual experience on stage that wildly differed from what was broadcast, and the aftermath. He also talks about working in independent films, the creation of his on-stage persona/routine as Superman, the importance of intellectual property, and more. You can watch a video of his Superman routine, see some photos of Shawn, listen to the podcast online, and download the MP3 file at: http://themagicwordpodcast.com/scottwell......mcmaster Of course you can always get the podcasts on your smart phone's podcatcher, or go to iTunes, Stitcher, FeedPress, or Tunein. Next week we get into some "red meat" as we do investigative journalism into Gregory Wilson's allegations that no one can present evidence that he has purloined tricks/props/ideas and/or intellectual property from other magicians over the years. It's about to get real.
