I am just getting into magic after being fascinated by it for most of my life. I have always looked for the deeper connections and subtleties behind magic, interactions, and just everyday life. I have always wanted to bring healing, love, and joy to the people around me. I am a massage therapist and have been for about 5 years now. I wanted to find a way to reach people and help them in other ways. I think magic brings wonder and joy to people. It teaches them that the world is more then what it seems. That more is possible then what they might expect. I am not a fan of lying to people and won’t when it comes to magic. I don’t want there to be any question that what I am doing is a trick. But use the tricks I learn to get people thinking in different ways. To help open their scope of understanding and what may be possible in their own lives.
A man once told me all things ARE possible just never in the way we first expect. And that to do the impossible we only first need to remember the technique. I didn’t understand this at first but through the years with my work and other studies and exploration of expanding my understanding (leather working, fire spinning, contact juggling, Aikido) I have found that life is never as limited as we first may think and that all things can be achieved. I hope as I bring magic into my life and hopefully into other people’s lives as well. That this understanding and joy for knowledge only grows. |

Welcome BlindWizard,
Your skill set is similar to a Magician I admire very much (weird). I assume you are into Close-Up Magic? I enjoy your take on Magic. We don't break the laws of physics, we just know how to apply them. -Mary Mowder |

What Magician is that? If I can ask .
I do like close up magic because it's in peoples bubble. They interact more and I Think they don't feel separate from it as much and it touches them on a deeper level. This view is probably because I interact with the world closely so I can feel what is happening as well as experience it. I hope to learn a lot here. Thank you for the welcome and the first reply. |
