Ok here is 2 questions regarding my favorite sitcom of all time...The Dick Van Dyke Show.

What was head writer Rob Petrie's middle name?

What was Alan Brady's middle name? (Rob's boss)

Both of these answers were only said once (in different episodes).

Good Luck

Mark

You sure it was Rob? I remember his son Richie's middle name being the topic of an episode.

Yes, I'm sure.

Richie's middle name is Rosebud. Robert
Oscar
Sam (good name to do business with)
Edward
Benjamin
Ulysses
David

This is obscure but it was mentioned in a single episode.

Peter Parker was once referred to by another name (I'm not talking about is alter ego's name). What was it?

I want to say Ben Reilly. I'm not certain.

Hi Ed,

That was the Scarlet Spider, a clone of the original Spider-Man (i.e., Peter Parker).

I'll leave this unanswered for a while longer to see if anyone comes up with the answer.

I'll say Richard Wentworth just in case, but I think that would be wrong. That was the name of a different spidery character Stan Lee said inspired him to create Spiderman.

Hi balducci,

Sorry. I'm looking for the name that was actually used in The Amazing Spider-Man comic series.

I remember they goofed in, I believe, issue 2, calling him "Peter Palmer."

Hi Steve,

You're correct, it was Peter Palmer (although it was issue 1... the third story with the Chameleon). They not only goofed, but they goofed three times in the story. So much for proofreading Smile

Obscure, eh? I watched an old movie the other night and I was surprised to see that it was co-written by Lenny Bruce. Anybody else know this one?

Well, since no one has ventured a guess, I'm gonna tell ya!

The director, Richard Donner, spent a fortune having a giant octopus constructed to play a major part in the adventures of the boys. Exciting scenes were filmed with the kids battling the undersea creature. But when writer/executive director Steven Spielberg saw the rushes, he thought the octopus didn't look realistic enough. So he made Donner edit out the entire octopus sequence. However, in the final version of the film as seen by the public, near the end of the movie, when the boys are being asked about their adventures, they mention the octopus! Someone in the editing room forgot to take out that piece of dialogue.

Another pulp query:
What pulp 'Robin Hood' hero wore a mask in the form of a sphere made of two-way mirror glass?
