I know this has been discussed a lot in the past, in fact, reading those posts led me to purchase the Roland Cube Street EX.
I simply want to make sure there have not been any advances that I need to be aware of since the last time this was discussed. I am performing at some festivals but mostly backyards, living rooms, and churches. But I want to have a little more than the minimum I need. That's why I went with the Roland Cube Street EX. I have been delighted with the sound in my initial testing. For my microphone I plan to get the Samson Airline Micro (over the ear) http://www.samsontech.com/samson/product......oearset/ And One Track to run my iPhone music (cannot begin to afford Cue Command at $595 and Show Cues at $89.99 does not seem to add enough to make the price difference worth it with One Track costing only $14.99) Also, the iJet wireless remote. So, does this look like a solid plan? What cautions, advice, or considerations would you tell me? Thanks.

Hello curtgunz,
I also bought the StreetEx a couple years ago and luv it. I am also very interested in the Airline Micro. Hopefully someone here has some experience with it, especially coupled with the StreetEx |

I've been using the airline micro for years.
Pros: It's completely rechargeable/wireless and has long battery life. Plug it in overnight and you're good to go for the next day. If you don't have a power source, then this is the only rechargeable mic (that I am aware of). Cons: Each mic has one channel. If you run into interference, there's nothing you can do. (Unless you have a second mic on a different channel). The tips of the antennae tend to unscrew themselves and get lost on the pitch. |

My understanding is that you order N1, N2, N3, N4, or N5 and get different channels. Samson customer support will even help you decide which works best in your area. But, I travel all over doing festivals and other types of events and am not limited to one "area of usage" so I will ask them about that. Good review. This is the kind of information we performers can share and use for making these decisions.

I've traveled quite a bit and haven't experienced any problems regarding the single channel, but the risk is there.
I've used One Track / iPhone for years as well and love it. |

What remote (if any) do you use for playing the music with One Track and your iPhone? .

I have an iJet, but never use it (I don't change music during my show).
I leave my iphone in a case. The amp has a blue tooth receiver. Several performers have recommended Brian Foshee's (Happy Amp) remote. |

...it's rechargeable and has long battery life, so I don't have to find a power source or carry an RV battery or generator.

Update:
I purchased the Roland Cube Street EX Samson Airline Mic Satechi Remote One Track I am very pleased. ____ Pros ____ Roland Cube Street EX is amazing. Great sound. Four input channels. Huge sound (Filled up a school gym with music and my voice without even using 25% volume. The Street EX is basically two Roland Cube Streets put into one housing. Weighs less than 20 lbs total. Remote works well. One Track does what it says, creates playlists and plays them. Samson Airline Mic is great. Battery operated receiver and mic means I do not need a plug. This whole system will work in field. Do not have to even worry about where an electrical outlet might be. ____ Cons ____ Roland Cube Street EX is expensive $400 USD. Samson Airline Mic is $250. One Track is very basic (met my needs but there are not a lot of bells and whistles) The remote took a little getting used to. _______________ Overall Verdict _______________ I am DELIGHTED. I would buy this again. It is wonderful to be able to use it without plugging it in. Comparable to a nice PA that requires AC power. I never had to think, "This is pretty good for a portable battery operated system." Instead, I just thought, "This has great sound for ANY system."
