I've been using this for a few days now and really enjoy it. I got the knack of the 'moves' rather quickly and have been performing it, as written by Sankey. It is a 2 phase key-off-rope/key-on-rope routine. Does anyone have any ideas on how to make this a little longer? I mean, it's killer for the layman (especially when they 'bite' and ask me what that key around my neck is for) but it's over in about 20 seconds. Anyone else use this, and what ideas can we come up with for it?
Thanks, Jay |

I have heard that Sankey's "Leaving Home" is pretty impressive and I am glad to hear someone else say it. Where is a good place to pick up this trick?

I wouldn't buy the trick. Buy the Sankeytized I video instead. It has Leaving Home(which you can make with a key and string) and other great effects.
As for lengthing the routine, I wouldn't do it. Why not keep it quick and clean. It melts off, it melts back on. Done.

Allen Gittelson posted some ideas in an earlier thread found below that you may find useful.

It takes a big man to cry...... but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

It's also on volume 3 of his "Best of" videos. Definitely pick up one of the videos over the individual effect -- way more bang for the buck.

Every problem contains the seeds of its own solution. Unfortunately every problem also contains the seeds of an infinite number of non-solutions, so that first part really isn't super helpful.

Harvey Rosenthal has a full routine very similar and very well done called Melt Through.
You can find it here http://harveyrosenthal.com/hr/new/page4.htm Quote:-"Melt Thru at a lecture at the Magic Castle in 1977, Dai Vernon called it the finest ring and string routine he had ever seen." |
