This is a very sad day in Spain, maybe the saddest in our whole history.
This morning, in Madrid, the terrorist group from the Basque Country, ETA, has killed about 125 people, placing bombs in three trains. There have been more than 500 hurt people. Sorry for me saying this because the Café is a beautiful place, not for posting this very sad news. But I must to say this. People were going to their work, from the near towns around Madrid, when the three bombs in three different trains killed them. Sadly I say this is our personal 9/11. This date will be remembered forever in our minds. I don’t know what to say. My girlfriend who lives in Madrid, has been very close to this bombing, and she is good, but I won’t think about what would happen if she died or something like that. Thanks to God, all people I know in Madrid, my girlfriends, her family, and so on, are okay. I only ask you my friends, for a prayer for the souls of all the people who have been killed this morning in Spain. Rest In Peace Thanks in advance. All the best magic, Pablo Tejero The last bad news talked about more than 170 dead people, and 600 hurt. Please friends, pray for their souls. What a sad day for all the humanity. March 11, GOD BLESS YOU, Rest In Peace All the best magic, Pablo Tejero

Pablo,
the victims, their families and friends will be in my prayers for a long time to come. I also pray that you will remain strong for anyone else that may need your strength. We went through this not that long ago on September 11th and I remember how I felt then and still feel now. Know that there will be many that will pray for your country. God Bless, Vincent |

I know this for a fact:
- For the people who perpetrated this act, there will always be some justification in their minds. - For the innocent victims, no matter what ultimately will happen, political compromise, etc. there will be no closure, because the senselessness and cruelty of these acts speak for themselves. Nothing will ever justify this day in Madrid. All rational human beings must reject it. |

Hi Pablo,
I was deeply saddened when hearing this on the news. What a terrible tragedy and senseless loss. Your country must be in great shock and mourning. Many other countries around the world feel this sense of sadness and I know want to convey this to the Spanish people. You're all in our thoughts and hearts at this time. Chrystal |

Pablo, know that the people of America stand with the people of Spain and the world in this time of tragedy.
These senseless brutal acts of terrorism will only stand to unite us. Though it might not seem like it right now, know that there is far more good in the world than evil and we will persevere! My prayers go out to you, your friends and family and all the people of Spain. t |

I join our friends in the Magic Café in expressing our deepest sympathy and support to you and to Spain for this terrible tragedy. This has been an awful and unspeakable act of terror. We pray for the victims and their families. Why has the world become such a complicated place for innocent and peace loving people? Fuerza amigo, José

Thank you, guys, for all the words of solidarity and for the many e-mails and phone calls from friends that just wanted to make sure we are still around. There is a general feeling of solidarity here, and the mood that life must continue no matter what. Last night I had a gig. It was pretty much a regular gig, even a good one, except that you couldn’t just start cheerfully as if nothing had happened. After all, people need a distraction and moments of illusion, and that's one of the best things we can contribute.

It is so unfortunate how quickly our society forgets. Here in the USA, there is a strong push to oust our President by the Democratic Party, thinking they can do better.
There are no easy solutions, or popular decisions to be made to fight this social ill the whole world faces. All we can do is support those who are doing their best to fight this on going problem. Please lets not forget this senseless act of terrorism, like many in the USA has done with 9/11. Vietnam is history, but not so in my mind and the mind of many others, it is still visually clear. So is 9/11. There are those who will blame the USA for this incident. We need to get behind those who are willing to risk their lives and fight this problem, as well as the decision makers. There are no simple solutions! My heart goes out to you and the people of Spain.
