Are there any reviews of Ortiz's Vanishing Inc memorised deck download?

Both Card Sense and Test Your Luck are in his Lessons in Card Mastery book so if you have that then maybe you don't need this. However if you don't and you have any interest in memdeck work then download this asap especially since it is on sale! If you don't use a memdeck already Darwin has some tips on choosing a stack and how to use it, and goes into it in a bit more detail. The two tricks are not only some of the strongest memdeck magic, but in my opinion some of the strongest card magic you can do, if you like what you see on the download then definitely pick up Darwin's Lessons in Card Mastery and Scams and Fantasies. I sincerely believe Darwin's contribution to memdeck work in those two books are some of the strongest card magic you can do period, Zenmaster, Card Sense, Remote Control, Calculated Risk, Billion Dollar Brain the list goes on.
Of the two routines on the download Test your Luck is a good trick to get used to your stack pretty straight forward and a strong effect, the spectator stabs a card into the deck right next to the one they simply name. Card Sense, again isn't that hard if you know your stack, but it is so, so strong I use this a lot! Three people cut off packets and under increasingly impossible conditions you can sense the cards they cut too, and it all resets back to stack order. If you don't have the two books and want to dip your toe into Darwin's work and you already have a stack or are thinking of memorizing one, then do yourself a favour and pick this up! |

^ What he said. For $5, if you don't own the books, this is a steal. Those are probably two of the effects from that book I use the most often. Simple, straightforward, and practical effects.

I just picked it up. There are two effects, so $2.50 per effect, plus a lot of freebies on how to properly handle a memorized deck, a couple of glimpses, a packet switch,... my advise is don't buy it, that way I'll be one of the few that know the secret

You may want to consider to take the $5 and put it toward getting the Lessons in Card Mastery book. Not only does it contain these two excellent mem deck routines -- and not only does it have many, many more excellent mem deck and non mem deck routines -- but it also offers invaluable advice and relevant theory not usually found in magic instruction books (hence the 'lessons' in the title). The more I go through it, the more it's become my favorite Ortiz book.

The more I learn, the less I seem to know.

Do the tricks require a specific stack?

Test Your Luck - a true worker. Blows peoples mind every time I do it.
A quick and strong effect that "WILL" fool anyone, sure. Test your luck are probably one of the greatest cardtrick I can do with a memdeck. When you have done the effect one time - you will keep doing it - again and again, its just so fun to perform this effect. |

Card Sense is also great, not just because it is basically self-working but also because it is easy to change the presentation to practically anything.

Both are excellent tricks in that video. If you don't have them already and do some memorized deck magic, then they are worth getting for that low price. These are tricks that can be used in almost any situation. Fast moving and entertaining for sure.
