Hey guys got a question on the best approach to repair a coin I have. I have a 2 copper 1 silver set that I got second hand. While practicing the s**ll that is a english penny with the edge of a half dollar, fell and the edge piece came off. I was wondering what the best way to reattach it may be?
I was thinking either superglue or soldering it back on. Thanks for any comments. |

I've used superglue on coins before & it worked perfectly. Should be fine here also especially as there's no real stress on the repair.

Thank you for the reply. I did notice at the break it looked as if an adhesive was used.

Yep when I have had to do repairs I use the gel very sparingly so it doesn't "seep" into areas I don't want the glue to be.
Some gaffes, and this may apply or it might not, if the glue runs to the wrong place it can ruin the perfect functionality of said gimmick. |
