Posts like these on forums are always difficult for me to make as I never know exactly what to include, therefore if anyone has a question please do ask!
For many years I have been lurking as a guest in the Café and I decided it was finally the time to create a real account, so here is a little information about myself. My name is Koby, (Yes, K-o-b-y, with a K) and I have been on and off practicing magic since I was 8 when I took an interest in slight of hand. Since then, I have had many pauses in my practice for different reasons. Even though I stopped many practicing many times, I never lost the love I have for the art. I live in New York and recently have gotten more serious about practicing and learning as much as I can. I tend to perform slight of hand tricks and would like to start using coins. While I am not doing magic, I can be seen reading or playing music as I also love music. Thank you, to everyone in this brilliant community! |

I am so happy you made it Koby. I had a similar experience just a little different.
Oh, you will be so glad you do coin magic, my fave too. You will never have a problem doing magic anywhere. You always have coins with you! Blessings and best wishes for you, glad to have you here! Scott |

Welcome Koby,
Lots of Magicians have an on again/off again relationship with Magic. As long as you don't sell your books, you'll be OK. I love coin Magic but I don't do much. Good on ya for getting started. -Mary Mowder |

I'm not an authority but Bobo's Modern Coin Magic is generally recommended as a good starting point. Asking in the coin Fora or New To Magic might be a better tack than asking me.

See my PM.
There is so much. I think Bobo's Modern Coin Magic, and Kaufmans (more modern) Coin Magic are great. Videos are great for learning. But buy them with caution since many of them are good only for the angles in front of a camera. So I would ask you to start a post asking for some great coin videos to buy, best value for the dollar, that people use, or something like that. |

I started a post for you in nothing up my sleeve. Others will be telling you and others about their best purchases in coin videos.

Hey, we all have been helped in many ways by magicians. We are lucky the good ones didn't make us disappear. So we need to give back
a little sometimes. We want to share the fun we are having, so that you can do the same, brighten up peoples' lives with your "miracles." |
