Hi all, in the past half a year I have been designing my own deck of cards, Cadenza, targeting my own wants and needs. Some of my magician friends like the ideas as well so I am thinking of sharing some of these decks with the wider magic community. The decks are not printed yet, but I just got the paper proof, so this is happening. There will be an initial run of 2,000 decks, half of these will be red and half of these will be blue. A limited number will be made available for sale worldwide.

There are 10 features of Cadenza:

1. It features a very classic, timeless floral back design. The blue and red backs use two carefully selected pantone colours with vintage tastes to them. There are also custom ace of spades and joker, of course.

2. Legend's diamond finish - designed especially for humid weather, less prone to warping. Yes the cards are a bit stiffer than traditional bicycle cards, but it is much more durable and solid. An example of such finish is Vanishing Inc's amazing Dapper Deck.

3. Tuck - it uses a type of synthetic paper for the tuck. If you own Asi Wind's Chameleon deck, you will agree that such kind of tuck is truly classy and durable. The tuck is of an elegant, minimalistic design.

4. Both decks (red and blue) are preset. The cards come out of the box in Mnemonica order. All you need is a false shuffle and you are always ready for stack dependent miracles. Good for lazy magicians like me who always want to have something ready.

5. The blue deck comes with a double face. It is a QH/7S double face, which is good for monte type routines.

6. The red deck comes with a double backer.

7. The cards are marked on the back. Why not? There is a mark for the suit and value, and it uses the UMD type of mark, meaning it is practical and reliable. The Mnemonica stack number is also marked, at a logical spot.

8. There is also another system of marking. It has similar function as the Boris Wild type of mark. Excellent for tabled work. The two systems of marking do not work together. Depending on your need you can choose whichever set of marks that fits your purpose.

9. The red deck comes with another gaff card. It is an excellent closing to any three card monte trick. I had such an idea using another object a long time ago, and I turned this into the form of a gaff card to go with this deck.

10. The blue deck comes with another gaff. It is a simple but novel and comedic gaff for revealing a chosen card. When you purchase either deck (the red deck or the blue deck), you will gain access to two full routines, each utilising their own gaff cards.

Check out the facebook page for some photos, and let me know if you have any thoughts on any of the features!

I just ordered blue back
I've never used a marked deck and I'm excited to learn something new.

Awesome!!!!

Hope the routines aren't complicated and math driven or having to memorize.

I have really bad memory issues.

As the red and blue packs are slightly different, I've ordered both.
The packs are coming from a long way away. I hope they don't get lost!

Where are they coming from?
I was thinking they were made over there, but stocked here in the U.S.
I guess I was wrong....

I should add the Red deck to mine!

Glad you love the cards.

If anyone is confused, the ebook can be assessed by scanning the QR code at the bottom of the box. This is written on the product description on Legend's website but I agree this can easily be missed. I considered printing the QR code on the extra cards in the deck but ultimately decided to save the space for the gaffs, hope you would agree with my de

If anyone has trouble assessing the QR code, PM me and I will send him a copy via email. I am also updating the ebook to include more ideas. Will let you all know when the new ebook is up.

We are working on finding a way to mass market my special marking system with the Redford stack that I've been using. This has been a harder project to tackle than I first thought! But it will be coming!

Are you planning to reprint these? Its really a pity that they are only 700 of those. Such a great deck shouldn't be that limited.
