Hi there,
I was wondering which version of Royal Road to Card Magic should I get? I noticed that there are a few versions of the book.Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

Unless I'm missing something here, I'd advise you to get the cheapest one, as I'm pretty sure there's only the original and then reprints thereof with different covers.

Don't buy the Kindle Edition as normal book, I did and it was so bad it has page they the are 90% black, no index at all so stay a way from that version. I did buy the one with a blue cover and its fine.

I would buy the hardbound edition, it will last longer.
There's A Dover edition, that's soft bound, but you're better off with the hardbound.

I'd go with the softbound Dover edition. Cheaper.
And then, when you realise that Roberto Giobbi's Card College volumes 1 & 2 (unless you own them already - in this case ignore what follows) are soooooo much superior, then you'll buy them and they are hardbound. So the "soft" RRTCM will not be read so often anymore and your copy will be preserved rather well.... Mark |

I buy the hardback edition of all the foundational texts. These are not books that we read and discard, they are intended to last us a lifetime. For those, I get hard bound. It's not that much more, and it will be there for you the rest of your life.
