My search program has pulled up this page several times and I never stopped to read what it says. Is this realy someone selling handcuffs and shims as a safe product for underwater use?

Bridge Jumpers is just a name for them, the site does not claim you can do UW escapes but I can see where a beginner may make that mistaken assumption.
What I love is that there is a pair of kiddy star wheels pictured (with the release lever) SO if the lever is there why shim? Can one actually shim a star wheel, I've never known anyone who can. Pick it? Sure. but with the lever, why? The only part that is correct is that it is used by professional magicians, I've heard it was the same pair Burton used in "The Car Crusher." TA is a well known guy, maybe he could invest a few bucks and gimmick some VALORS. X

I suppose you are right. 'Bridge jumpers' doesn't mean there is water under the bridge. I found the whole thing to be a little confusing. Kind of scary to think people might order them, for one thing, and get somthing intended for a different purpose.
