Don't want anyone getting in a fuss thinking I want to commit fraud. I thought using fake notes has a lot of potential because if they think it is real and you display it and say destroy it or do somethig otherwise foolish with it then it is a good effect.
I saw they sell play notes on ebay for UK notes for only a couple of pounds (I am in the UK). Btw do they sell magicians notes as they do with coins for uk notes? as I have seen realistic trick coins like the bendy ones. I guess I'll take a look on those same sites. With the ebay ones I read in the descriptions that the note size is smaller than the real thing though- for example the 50 pound note is 10 cm vs 15 cm. Other than that the detail is very realistic apart from only being printed on one side which can easily be concealed. I am wondering about ways you could do displays without them noticing the deficits in size? Maybe it wouldn't be an issue if they are in a wallet and you just riffle the corners. Edit: hmm thinking about it; I bet there are wallets which would naturally slot the money maybe with a catch which could provide ample cover to conceal the smaller size and/or simply covering the shorter length with the hand when drawing the wallet from the pocket. So main question is how to pass them off as real to the spectators. Also any other general ideas for material based on notes welcome. |
