Hi everyone, I am returning to performing magic after a twenty year hiatus. Earlier this year, I took my son to a local library presentation on the history of magic, and my excitement for the art returned. It didn’t take long to go into the basement and dig out the boxes of props and books. I have attended a couple of lectures over the past few months, and am looking forward to both relearning the old, and learning the new.

Welcome MagicByDon,
And welcome back to Magic. After a 20 year break you'll certainly approach Magic with fresh eyes. You may be surprised at how differently you view your old Magic. Has you Son developed an interest in Magic as well? Sounds like your local Library has some interesting lecturers, very cool. -Mary Mowder |

Thanks, Mary-
My son likes to work on card tricks to do at school, that is his main interest right now. Chicago has a very rich history in magic, so I find presentations like the one we saw (covering everything from TV Magic Cards to Magic Shops and the Chicago Bar Magic scene) hit home- I couldn't help but pick things up again... |
