Don't do a change bag routine inside a church while a mass is going on, or the faithfuls will drop their offerings in the bag.

But maybe he didn't want to lose his professional "cool", eh? When he laughed, that was a good sign. A cop laughing when someone rearranged his handcuffs is a sign that you must have done something right. At least he didn't respond with anger! But on the other hand, what could he do? The escape was already done, and you were still in his custody, while it was obvious that you could have taken advantage of the situation, but did not. Maybe he felt a bit humbled?

Never practice while sitting on the throne, ESPECIALLY lapping... If you drop anything, you are probably going to want to replace it!

Never perform magnets (the huge neo magnets) near somebody's pockets, one guys credit cards got destroyed.
Also don't do gimmicked coin magic at a supermaket then hand the payment for the goods with coin uniques, bitten coins, bent coins, etc! I'm sure a lot of coin guys have lost a lot of coins this way! |

I was hired by a local hospital to do a show once. I thought it was for the pediatric wing. When I got there I was surprised to find out that I was performing for patients in the psychiatric wing. I had planned on doing a straight-jacket escape. I was faced with the age old dilemma, should I do the straight-jacket escape for psychiatric patients or not?
The show went well and I decided to do the escape. It ended up being the best part of the show. Some of the older patients there had actually been locked in straight-jackets at some point in thier lives and they absolutely loved the fact that I was able to escape from one. |
