Somehow could not find a single complete review from a genuine user of this wonderful book on the Café. So here it is.

Bought this for $150 many years back. And in just over a year I could earn many times of my investment on this book. To give a perspective, just a single routine in here on year of birth m***c sq***e has been my number one gig getter effect for many years now. This is one of the books I refer back to often. Imho, Charles Gauci is one of the most ripped off creators, unfortunately. But it speaks volumes about the level of his creativity.

The book is not too large with just over 200 pages and may seem pricey initially. But trust me, it is filled to the brim with highly commercial routines, techniques, ideas and methods and is worth every one of those 150 quid. Some of the well known routines included here are Eye to Eye, Body Language, Super Sudoku, Rainman, Houdini Card Mystery, his Memdeck work, his very special invisible card marking system etc.

There are 4 sections in the book. Stage Mental Effects with 11 effects, Tools of the Trade which describes 3 ools', Miscellaneous Fav Effects which has 12 effects and finally Card Mysteries with 11 effects. Each one is a true worker. Most of the routines qualify for the 'packs small plays big' criteria.

Btw, now Charles would be about 80 and at the time of writing this book had already clocked over 50 years of performing and creating magic and mentalism. This clearly shows throughout the book.

Even after so many years of owning the book, I have only used/performed about one third of the routines in here. So for me the payback will continue for a long time to come.

Disclaimer - I do not know Charles Gauci personally, but have attended his show and was very impressed. I also have his Penguin lecture. I bought this book from SME back then.

Thanks. The price is high but the contents seem to worth it.
