Fraser has just released a name guess he calls MOOL. It isn't completely propless, it's a way to use a normal, ungimmicked deck of cards as a way to guess the name someone is thinking of. The best part: no one in the audience realizes the cards are used to help determine the name.
Essentially, you give a reading to the spectator using a deck of cards, you then have them think of a name. You tell them to think of the first letter of the name and you literally tell them, "now change to a completely different letter in the alphabet." I like this because there's no confusing speech which can sometimes be a problem in Fraser's work. This is very straight forward for both the spectator and the audience. Also, you can get as many letters as you need before you guess the name. I definitely recommend this one! |

It looks like it's to be pay what you feel (going by what Fraser posted on his FB).

Madison what would you pay for this?
I picked up 'The Sweetest Sound' by Scott Cram for $5 in a Penguin coolbox deal, and think it's fairly priced at $10. Not a total name reveal, but close. Has always gotten a good reaction. |

Just got done working my way through MOOL.
What a beautiful idea. It is as easy as it is fooling. Very. It's wonderful (and encouraging) to read a routine and immediately know it is a worker and will go into your repertoire. MOOL can be used to divine any word, but is best used when divining a name. For those new to Fraser's material, this is a very good place to start. Very solid material with little risk and large reactions. It is very generous that he is letting people pay what they want for this piece! No matter what, you will feel like you received this Mentalism routine at a steal |

Hey guys,
So some people use playing cards in mentalism, while others don't. In this particular case, you introduce the playing cards at the beginning, and then they are forgotten. The prop no longer exists in the spectators mind. I particularly like that in this release.....I do propless often when I don't have my cards on me, but this is perfect, since you can use the cards, and reveal a thought of name. The combination of using both cards and propless in this routine is great, and this routine can be performed in an almost impromptu way. All you need is a deck of cards, and they can even be borrowed, and you are set. As with all of Fraser's work, there is something going on, but that something is very well hidden, and the scripting that Fraser uses for this is beautiful. If you have read some of Fraser's other releases, I believe for me, that this is the best. The reason I say this is because it combines 2 of the things I do most, propless and cards, and the routining, scripting, and everything else flows well together. In case you don't have it, Fraser's paypal is info@paypal.co.uk You can get it here: www.fraserparker.co.uk/mool.htm MOOL is a name guess from his notebooks that allows you to guess a thought of name with complete accuracy. What is interesting about this release is the following: PAY WHAT YOU WANT Really, YOU DECIDE So basically, for this release MOOL, you can pay Fraser what you like for this, and he will send over the PDF. For a release like this, you are getting a bargain, for any price you wish to paypal Fraser. I paid $25.00 since I don't have much money left in my paypal, but I believe this release is worth more. I think a fair price for this release would be around $25-35, but in this case, again PAY WHAT YOU WANT. It all depends if you can picture yourself performing this type of routine, or if you collect name divinations, or if you have everything of Fraser's work, or even if you just want to see what this is all about. You don't lose much, since you can pretty much pay what you want, and you decide, and the pdf is yours, its that simple. I think that this routine has the potential to hit hard, when performed, and I will be road testing it next week during some Christmas parties and whatnot. For a price that you decide, I think this is more than worth it, plus if you don't end up liking it because it doesn't suit your style or whatnot, you will feel OK, since you decided what to pay, on the flip side of that, if you really like it, you will feel that it was worth it and more, since some of you will end up using it in performance. Thanks Alex Alejandro

I think I like Rose the best so far for propless name guess methods. This introduction of cards just isn't as elegant a solution as Rose. MOOL is pay what you want though, so I still feel that people should jump on it.

This is my favorite of Fraser's Name Guesses. The fact that you can get a 100% success rate out of this is fantastic.
Here is a video I made for Fraser back when he called this 'Off Set', so you can see the reactions MOOL gets https://youtu.be/WIW74s6VilU |

Thought I'd chime in with a much deserved Five Minute Mysteries review of MOOL! XX, Jacob P.S. Bonus points to anyone who recognise the solo portion of the song I'm playing speed up in the beginning! |

This one I like a lot, although I honestly still prefer some of Fraser's propless name guesses. But MOOL gives the participants less room for error and, at the same time, gives you any amount of letters you want, so it feels safer.
I've been doing the "dirty work" first, then something using cards and later do the name divination and it gets beautiful reactions!!! I think it's the perfect introduction to Fraser's works, if you're not familiar with it yet. And it's a killer name divination, even if you've read Fraser's other works |

Fraser Parker has introduced a most excellent mechanical name guess. This is an excellent piece of work, and is now my go to name guess item (I won't use another anymore!), because this is very easy to do, and will stun your spectator & audience. The use of the playing cards is excellent, and creates a perfect disconnect to the 'mechanics'. I genuinely really like it, and at the moment the price is 'what you are willing to pay'! (craziness on a huge scale - this sort of offer doesn't come along very often) Why wait, I guarantee that that this is something you WILL use, and will NOT be disappointed. BUY IT!!
Fraser has a great writing style too, he's not out to confuse, just great instructions. You will be performing this little piece of gold in no time at all. Keep up the good work Fraser. |

It is clear by now that Fraser has an unhealthy obsession with Billit-less name guesses, and MOOL is his latest offering to our community.
MOOL is a billit less name guess which uses playing cards to help divine the thought of name. It is entirely mechanical in nature and can be done without any other props. Fraser discusses some great ideas on using playing cards in this context and how you could use it to further your own knowlage. The duration of the "process" should take you roughly a minute, maybe 2 if you are not as familiar with billet less name guesses. Overall even if you do not intend to use this method to divine names I would still suggest that you buy this anyway if only to add knowlage to your library. With Fraser asking you to pay what you think his idea is worth then I can't see why would wouldn't buy it anyway. Best wishes Mij |

This basically uses the same ideas in his most recent propless methods, but with cards to make it more sure fire. I believe it still has the problem that spectators, can still get confused by the instructions and the problem with having to re-explain can cause more focus on the method. I would say it is worth it as you can pay what you want and it does offer some good thinking and possibly it will ignite your own ideas.
