"After nearly a year and whatever I have compiled 12 volumes of mentalism and the last volume was set to be the last - herein lies the question. With a series of subjects not yet complete, do I leave the series where I intended to leave it or do I do a couple of extra volumes?
Your voice counts as I would really love to hear your thoughts." - Peter Turner I don't think it will be the last volume. |

This volume is a must-have for anyone interested in workable and not-convoluted propless Mentalism. The "Bookless Book Test" from Peter is worth the price of it! I also contribute my "RRV" (from my eBook "Nada") which is own system of knowing thoughts. More info at http://peterturnerseries.blogspot.cl/ If you want more volumes, motivate Peter to do it at his Facebook! I will do my best to do it if he wants.

I was wondering if anybody can tell me the contents and how many pages this PDF has.
I was surprised there wasn't more information given about this product and I expected to see some reviews by now. |

Ok I'm keen to check this out, will take the plunge and post a review in the coming days. I have just worked my way through 'Second Coming' by Parker/Tayler which is BRILLIANT (and most likely will be controversial) and will be curious to compare Pete's offering as I know he has had a mammoth influence on all the propless material developers including myself and Pete was one of the contributors and influencers for the 'Second Coming' material.

Here's my review. I’ll describe the effects (of course there’s some scripting inbetween to limit options and all), followed by any comments I have.
In short, Peter Turner takes propless mentalism to be the participant not having to read/ generate information from books, playing cards, index cards, etc. At most only the performer writes something down as a reveal. He spends a lot of pages just on his introduction. 1. A nifty introduction (this is the only trick which is debatable whether it is propless.) Performer writes a name on a billet and puts it into the spectator’s hand. The performer thinks of the first letter. The spectator is supposed to intuit the letter in their minds (with a clue from the performer.) Then based on that letter, the spectator intuits the name and opens the billet. -It is not a sure-fire. If there’s a miss however, you can easily cover up based on the premise of the routine (we are supposed to intuit the name, not guess). Carry on by doing it in reverse (they write down and you intuit the name.) 2. Guess who? Think of a two digit number, from there you will think of a letter, and then a name. The performer then reveals it. -I would say here you need to f**h the num of letters. -There are some variants here that you can even do with playing cards -Sad to say though, I won’t use any of the name guesses (as in the first trick) as the common names in my country are very different. 3. The Phantom dictionary test A spectator will imagine a dictionary and think of a letter, followed by a long word that starts with that letter. The performer then reveals it. -I was so fooled as I read the script. It worked on me and I did not feel anything odd going on. -This is not sure-fire though. You may need outs. 4. To name a place Spectator A thinks of a place while spectator B goes through the alphabet in his mind. The performer looks at spectator A and writes his prediction down. The person then says the place. The performer looks at spectator B and writes his prediction down. The second person says the name. The performer open both predictions and reveal both were correct. 5. There's no such thing as a stupid question -This is a Q&A effect. He also provides variants if you like such as using billets, or pre-show, etc. 6. Real Remote Vision – Pablo Amira Imagine a fruit in the performer’s hands. The performer then reveals the thought. -This works with many other things. The main thing to take away is the method here. -Requires a p**k. 7. Sherlocked - Thaddius Barker This is a pin code revelation effect. -This is not sure-fire. While it’s rather bold and I usually do not do any bold stuff, I’m adding this to my repertoire and if it misses, I’ll carry on with something else. -The Bob Principle (from Peter Turner’s Bigger Fish 2) is also inside to make the revelation better. 8. Colour Seer by Fraser Parker Psychological color force. Great and simple routine! Great overall, I really enjoyed reading everything including all the thinking behind everything. Lots to learn. Most of the methods for me are too bold and not really my type when it comes to performance. Propless mentalism does not really suit me much. However, I did enjoy reading on it and seeing what I can learn and implement. If you like Peter Turner’s stuff, this is something that you’ll enjoy. |
