Hi Magicians

What is the name of the effect or prop used in this youtube video?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIPimX-ZiCY
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anMEv923HRU

The effect I'm referring to is the talking oracle which spoke through a wooden image on the floor and the diviner interprets it to his clients.

I would like to buy such prop

Thanks

OSANYIN FACTS AND FIGURES
Name : OSANYIN
Alternative names : None known
Area or people : Yoruba people of Nigeria and Benin
Location : Africa
Gender : Male
Type : deity
In charge of : Plants and Vegetation
God of : Plants
Good/Evil Rating : OKAY, not bad

This effect would be fairly simple to produce for an experienced prop maker. It depends if you want it remotely controlled or timed. I could definitely produce something like that.

Hi Woodfield

Which magic shop will you advise me to buy a Swiss B*r* and which bizarre routine can I add to this to mystify the talking oracle effect?

Thanks

Hello viktorbc

I will want it to be remotely controlled and timed. It should have both functions.

If you were to produce something like this, how much will it cost?

And I would like to see your video sample of a talking oracle prop

Thanks

Close. It's the small, plastic, squeaker from a squeak toy, in his mouth, I used to use one when I was doing some clown work, you know, squeak my nose, stomach etc.

But yes, the warbler would work (but a lot more trouble to go from squeak to talking). I'd stick with the squeak toy squeaker.

This would also be effective:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000JG......F8&psc=1

Something you could easily hide on your person.

Hello viktorbc

How do I use the "Recordable Sound Module" without clients knowing I am using an electronic recording device for talking oracle divination?

Your advice is needed here

Thanks

In a seance format it is easier. Many of us use these all the time. In a dark room you can just keep in your pocket and push your hip against a table. In pitch black it is easier still. If you have a jacket with an inside breast pocket, you can cross your arms and then tighten them to press the button in. It just needs pressure. You could even strap it to your leg an just tap your knees together.

But probably the least obvious way is to wear one on your wrist under long sleeves. Then you can simply cross your arms naturally or even hold your arms together as if in fear.
