There is a demo somewhere, maybe check Penguin?
I think it could be somewhat remedied by a small piece of felt glued inside, I may give that a try. I like the method and I like that it will never wear out or get loose. Also, if you open it a little slower, it's quieter, though you have to be careful that it fully 'goes'. It's probably not an issue for a parlor situation, but I'd probably opt for a regular Ostin for closeup or a very quiet room.

I just started using Marc Oberon's IN CLIP and so far, so good. Here you start with a folded card clipped and displayed and visibly remove it to reveal the specs signed or torn card. Visually very clean. I am interested to see how these other options compare.

I like the idea that it's long lasting, but the posts about the noise withhold me from it and made me think about going for Carlyle's instead... Now that the Executive is out for quite a while, could anyone make some remarks on that? Last Laugh, have you tried your glue-idea?

Is it correct you make this yourself [?]
How easy is it to arts and craft As I wonder if the parts are easy to buy - whether you could have a routine that employs several Clips - hmm - my mind is wandering |

I still have the executive clip and I may someday try the felt idea, but I have not ended up using it. I don't currently do any routines that use any variation of a clip, so it's just kind of on the back burner.
Now - I can think of a few situations where I'd prefer the Executive clip, namely where the prediction is sealed and on display or in the possession of a participant for longer than a few hours. Otherwise, for anything standard, I'd probably stick with the old style.

Hi Duster,
arts and craft is easy. It takes a bit of time to adjust it to work reliable all the time, but that is just as with many other effects, you do have to practice a bit. You can get all you need on ebay and making several is possible. Coincidently I have bought 5 clips to make. ;-) Noise is there but I find it is a nonissue. The brain even associates the noise with opening a metal clip. I have never had a issue with this. But I do think it is possible to lower the noise level some. I hope this helps. Cheers Stefan |

I love this it's better than any other clips out there.Mr funk is a great teacher and very funny as well.Lining up is easy if you put the necessary in middle and use the parts of the clip you squeeze to open as guidance. Noice issues not really tbh.Deffo an awesome product.Mr funk says he had a dream and came up with this.I can imagine next day when he tried it out it worked better than he imagined.I bet mr funk you thought you'd have to push or jiggle.Wink. ....

I've been performing this both close-up and platform in my professional shows and believe it to be the final answer. I perform a borrowed, signed dollar bill to impossible location and love the psychological subtlety, advantage and ability of being able to begin my routine with an unfolded card, dollar bill or prediction. The video production and teaching detail is first class and very easy to comprehend. Also, this rendition completely mitigates perishables so there is nothing to break, wear out or ever fail you and should last a lifetime. Regarding the issues of sound, I inverted my m@gn@t and adhered it to the bottom quadrant forcing the attraction to travel through a few more layers which inadvertently silenced the mechanism.

Sorry for the resurrection, but can anyone tell me is the method different from Nelson's Mental-Gimic? That device also allows you to place the item to be switched into the clip in front of the audience.

Almost feels like I hit the lottery. After reading your post I hit the link for the product on the first page of this thread and it took me to Penguin's site with Executive Clip offered in the Open Box window.
How many magicians does it take to change a lightbulb? Regardless, for magicians darkness is a time for d'lite.
