I wonder if this is the same as Knock out Prediction Outdone by Wayne Fox. Ad copy: Rafael Benatar is a master at crafting clever methods that can be played for any audience. You and I is a perfect commercial card trick. This deceptive method is funny, has tons of audience interaction and the effect seems completely impossible. This trick gets better and better after each revelation and then ends with a complete surprise. It is the perfect matching card effect. Here's what happens: You give half of your deck to the spectator and you both shuffle. You trade your halves and the top card will match; same color and same value, time and time again. It even happens when you trade cards with other spectators. All that AND an amazing surprise ending. No gimmicks, no difficult moves, and nothing is added to the deck. We love it, you’ll love it, and everyone else will, too. |

I think this would be a great effect for layman. Though, I am not impressed but I think anyone who has been studying and performing magic for a while will know how this is done. Now, if you wouldn't have to switch your card with the spectators card after being shuffled to show the match, then I would be impressed.

Looks pretty much like Patrick Page's Repeat Do As I Do. Since this trick is in my repertoire, I'm not sure if I'm willing to check, what Benatar has added to it.

It is Pat Page's & Mr Benatar did this & said that it was Pat's routine at one of his lectures.
However, he has added to the original routine. Mike Donoghue |

I use Patrick's routine and add new ideas and routining. The trick description in the Penguin site has been edited to reflect that. You might have seen the trick in my lecture under the title of "Pages" as a tribute to Patrick Page who, by the way, was very enthusiastic when I showed him an earlier version of this routine. I eventually changed the title because I use the Pages word processor and it made a mess in my computer when searching. Also, I wanted a title that could be understood by a lay audience, a title that refers to the effect.

I was not familiar with Page's routine. And yes, I had an idea of how this works. But I still bought it and the download is great. Two live performances one of which is in the Magic Castle. That was a treat to watch.
And then the explanation goes through everything and even touches upon the psychology, choreography, and presentation. I know I will be using this with my own touches Thanks Rafael. Great work! |

Hi Rafael,
i loved your lecture at the Newcastle Magic Circle (many moons ago) & loved what you had added to Pat's routine. Anything with your name on is a must see & must have. Brilliant. Mike Donoghue |

Bought this and it's excellent. The set-up is reasonable and it will definately astonish laypersons. The moves required are not difficult but this would not be suitable for a beginner in card magic. I would say "average" technical ability is required. If you like what you see in the trailer then buy this...You won't be disappointed.

This Is a fantastic routine. I've seen Rafael rock an audience of 200 with this card trick. His touches on the original Patrick Page routine are fantastic and takes this routine to another level.

Well, I finally decided to buy this. And I'm glad I did. I expected a definite climax to the routine, because that's the one thing Page's routine was missing. Rafael of course did just that - and more. He actually provides several very good ideas in this 30 minute video, that make the trick not only stronger but also more entertaining. Excellent!
