Hi,
I'm interested in performing a rope routine using ring similar to the one Daryl used or Aldo Colombini uses. I already have plenty of finger rings and want to use something bigger so it's more visual. I'd be open to plastic or metal and am having a hard time finding a decent sized ring! Does anyone have a specific site they can recommend? I went to Michael's and Hobby Lobby and didn't have any luck. Thank you so much! |

Welcome to the Café!
There are already a lot of threads on this topic, I reccomendusing the search feature. Here's a thread with some suggestions on the first page of this section: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......start=20 The short version is to try a hardware store or horse/tackle store, as they're more likely to have big sizes. |

Thanks, I guess I was hoping someone had a link that I could click on and just buy it, lol. I searched and saw these suggestions and thought maybe someone knew where I could just place an order without all the leg work. Thanks very much, if anything else, I can start searching your suggestions on my own.

Hi Lion...I usta be a Lion. Of course, I also was Kiwanian, and a Rotarian, too....
I saw your post, and ducked out to use the search engine, so I could give you a few "trails to follow"...I searched for 3-31/2" rings for ring and rope, and 33 pages of posts popped up. I prefer a 3 1/2" or 4" ring, but, everyone's needs are different. So, use that search engine! You'll find many people willing to help, but, "there aint no such thing as free lunch"! Good hunting!

Dick,
Thanks for your help. I'm surprised that there isn't a magic shop that sells rings like this, lol. Yeah, believe me, I know all about hunting down props for magic, I was just hoping someone recently ordered one and had the link handy! Thanks again, Aslan |

If you don't mind paying up a little for superb quality, search "Toro Tissue Ring". It is top quality, seamless and 3.9" around. It sells most places (including Amazon) for only $19.99

Aslan: sorry to just tell you to search, part of it depends on what size or material you want, and how soon you want it.
The fact that you went to a craft store made me think you wanted it sooner (no online ordering) and a cheaper option, if possible. Poof's is a good choice, but I also second just searching online for the right keywords on Amazon/Google. To get started with it, You don't need a perfect one, just one of the right size/material. |

No, thanks very much for your help! I didn't realize that finding a suitable ring would be so challenging! I'm so glad I'm a member here because it would have taken a lot of wasted time and money if I had to figure this out for myself, you know? We all have our magic junk drawers and I really don't want to add any more stuff to mine!
Thanks much! Aslan |

I got one from reef scuba and it was absolutely smooth. This is a different company but I think they are related somehow.

I have one of those beautiful, heavy brass rings designed for Ring on String I might be willing to sell - if I can find it. (packed away during a move)
Have to research what they sell for, though - not saying I need that much ...

Propdog in the UK has several rings made of Stainless steel in a couple different diameters and each size has a few different thicknesses to chose from. Look in the Assessory section of their site: http://www.propdog.co.uk/accessories
Denny and Lee's has a nice heavy brass ring almost 4" in diameter and over 1/2 inch thick (3.75" by .39" thick): http://dennymagic.com/store/a-quarter-po......923.html Toy stores often have plastic rings of various sizes as children's toys. For example you might look at: https://www.amazon.com/Midway-Monsters-S......085TMT70 or https://www.amazon.com/CARNIVAL-PLASTIC-......V7ZV7TRS Or even hit the Carnival supply sites: http://www.carnivaldepot.com/carnivalsupplies.html For brass Harness rings (actually called "O" rings your can see samples of different sizes at: http://www.strapworks.com/ProductDetails......EALw_wcB Or for metal O-rings that come in colors, see this site: http://www.strapworks.com/ProductDetails......EALw_wcB Those are just off the top of my head. Hope the actual links help get you started in finding exactly what you need and want.

If you click on the button that says SPECS, you will find out the size.
By the way, when you are looking for this kind of ring, make sure that it is seamless. Do not waste your time with one that has a split in it. It ruines the effect. Quote: On Sep 24, 2017, Kyoki_Sanitys_Eclipse wrote:
