Sorry, I can't quite understand what you are asking.
Are you asking how many cards can be used to make this production look deceptive? Or are you asking how many cards are you required to back palm to do this production? If so the answer is any number above 1. |

I have seen Tim Wright of Zombie Video fame do this live at Abbott's Get-Together. It was truly magicial. It seems he had at least half a deck because he just did not stop the production of cards.
It does take a lot of work to do well. In the end it will pay off. To answer you question, it all depends on the distance you are performing. If on stage up to 18 or but if doing close in a living room, just about 6. The distance and lighting (spot light on you) will make the thickness more visible. All these performing condition have to be taken into account. For instance if you are on stage and do not have a spot light on you, you could use more cards. If you are on television with close up shots, you could only use 4 cards. So practice until you can control as many cards as you can, then adjust for your performing conditions. |

When I was hangin' out with Juliana Chen should could crack open a deck of and with a little work could get 'em in condition to back palm all 52 of them.

Pete, yes I can back palm 53 cards, but we are speaking of the Million Dollar Card Production by the late Frank Garcia.
This is a wonderful single card production that enables the performer to show both sides of his hand (fairly just by turning the hand 180 degrees) before releasing the produced card. |
