I had Dan Harlan's "Magic Spell" among my tricks for a looooooooong time. The way it came was with small "alphabet cards", which I found kind of hard to handle. So I finally took the time to use a deck of blank Bikes and draw my own letters on it. Much easier to handle. And pleased to say that this effect s a gem!

The idea in a nutshell is that a group of alphabet cards, no matter how you or the spectator mix and shuffle them, ALWAYS end up spelling the word "Magic" The third climax is the best, because (due to an old mathematical principle) you mix the cards face up and face down according to the spectators choices, and they STILL end up spelling "MAGIC"

A really fun effect. Takes some practice to remember the steps, but I really like this. Very "MAGICAL"

Is Magic Spell still available?

Not sure.

I think it's on his Premium Blend DVDs.

You may be right. Those DVD'S are on my hit list of Harlan things to purchase. The man is a walking, talking ENCYCLOPEDIA of magical knowledge!! One hour of talking to Dan or learning from him and picking his brain is like a whole semester of college courses on the art of magic.
