I just learned that my good friend, Sr. Rai, passed over last night. Bedridden pretty much for several years at least his suffering is over.

Rai forgot more magic and show business than most of us could ever hope to learn. His stories will remain with me for years. His advice survives here in a few snipets on the Café but alas he could not temper his words. He called it as he saw it and that offended some.

We exchanged phone calls over the years and many, many laughs. If you never saw Rai, you are missing something. There was some video of him working at Hanneford Circus doing the Asrah center ring but I believe it was taken down. I would love to have copy of it.

I posted this here because this was the area that Rai enjoyed the most. RIP my dear friend. I am sure you are cutting up jackpots with a lot of our friends. Save a jewel cushion for me for the future. Down the road, luv.

I'm so sorry to hear this, Richard. I remember the last time that we met, at a Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Joe Harrison, his daughter, and, I had attended a major Krewe Parade, and, were heading back to
Gretna on the ferry boat. We had a good visit, said, "On the next lot!", and separated. RIP, RAI!

Rai was a good guy. I used to live in Vegas at the same time he did and he performed at what was called Vegas World at the time.
He once had his coat catch on fire during a show. He was kind enough to give me some nice advice and some sketches on a project I was working on a few years ago.
It was some Quick change pointers.

May He R.I.P
One of the old Pro's that was a good guy.

I had some good conversations with him on here and he gave me some great advice when I was on a few tv shows. He was great....and yes, he didn’t not mince words or hold back his opinion. I did not hear that he was bed ridden. At least he is at peace now. 😢
