Hi, anyone know where to get a good confetti shooter. Either C02 powered or otherwise. Platform sized, not stage- but not close up either. Thanks!

Check out what Theatre Effects sells. I use the smallest CO2 cannon, it's handheld, and doesn't use backpressure caps or lifting devices, either. Just do a google search for 'em.

Thanks Steve!
Is the small one good for a small platform sized crowd. How do you use yours?

I use 2 Co2 Cannons on stage from Streamer Effects International. Ty Reveen, son of Peter Reveen, is the president. They make top quality products that never fail. They do all of the big rock stars concerts. I use them for both streamers and confetti launching. Try a google search under Streamer Effects International.

Theatre FX cannons are great. A great way to do a visual burst is to put a floor mounted cannon DL and DR on your stage and cross them into the audience. Load mostly streamers along with some mylar confetti. When you set them off at the end of a large illsuion or at the end of your show, the streamers provide a huge colorful burst that is very visual, while the mylar adds a "twinkle" effect.
-Hope this helps!

Mylar confetti isn't recommended in cannons. It doesn't get the same 'height' as regular confetti, and is a pain to clean up!

Regarding the question you asked me earlier, I usually have my small CO2 cannon attached (with velcro) to the back of a price sign (you'd have to see the routine to understand) or a prop. You can dress it up as a wand, too, but this particular type has the CO2 cartridge perpendicular to the launcher tube, so you'd have to hide that.

Wmhegbli, You write that David Cresey carries all the cannons. Every model you can think of. I have one that David doesn't have and David knows about it also. David Cresey has been to my web site to check it out. Check out my cannon I call "The Peacock". I use this one to end my show.

Although David Creasy is an excellent source for confetti( I'm A huge Creasy Fan and you will see his products in all of my shows) and Theater effects do manufacture great stuff. (can't speak to the Peacock, having never seen it ) La Matrie company also makes great co2 cannons that are remote controlled and easy to set up and take down. They also have a complete line of stage fx including snow machines etc that all operate from standard dmx profiles and/or their controllers. They can all be interconnected and run from a central remote controller. These are also available on line or through a good theatrical lighting company. I use Brbizon capitol lighting in DC

I hardly ever shoot confetti anymore. People just do not appreciate the cleanup. And as a stage crew person, I can tell you we definitely do not appreciate it.
I use D. Cresey's throw coils exclusively. The kids love to grab them and keep thereby doing most of the cleanup for you. Otherwise, you just grab the end the whole thing quickly cleans up. Another word is in order. Don't shoot them into the lights or other hot objects. Every year at Abbott's we have some guy who shoots his streamers into the lights. We keep a very close eye on them until intermission when we go out and try to get them down. It gets a little spooky somethings. Always leave the stage in the condition you found it for the next act.

You can get streamers from Theatre Effects. They will shoot in any confetti launcher. They look great in the air. The best part, is they clean up very easily compared to confetti. Also you can get them in FR Flame Resistant. They come in lengths from 12-50 feet.
Hope that helps Kevin & Kristen Living Illusions
