I'm pretty sure that the trick itself isn't for sale but it can be easily achived using Black art.

Be careful though, the reason it works well for marvey is because his costume, movements, music and allround style suit the way in which this production needs to be handled. Also his lighting and staging conditions are perfect for the productions I'm not so sure it would fool in a cabaret setting.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for saying what I wanted to say. I am glad you beat me too the punch. Why are we all so obsessed with what another magician has already done and performed? Why must we search and do what he does? Doesn't this just make us a clone of another magician?

Look for others ways to be creative. Look away from magic for your inspiration. Sure, use a magician to get you exzcited about something, but your creative ideas should not be about stealing or trying to do exactly ehat another magician has already accomplished. This does nothing for you or your audiences.

A prop is just a prop and so goes for the manip cards he uses. Just because you have the cards, does not mean you have an act that is any good or will serve you well for your audiences. Use your cards and props as tools and search to be more creative with them. Come up with your own creative ideas that work for your own stage personna and your own style on stage. Your audiences deserve that from you.

I beleive marveys card catcher, catches all the cards at once, and as he throws the card away the rest are hidden behind the hand again, this enables him to show hi hand AFTER he produces the card., he is only one of two guys I know do this type of thing, maybe it should stay that way.

Well after looking for a long time I believe I found the gimmick for sale on a chinese site. The image calls it "Impossible Card Production". Here is the link: http://www.52magic.cn/product.asp?id=1720 . I did a search for the name and it looks to be originally by Luciano.

My fascination with this production is because even as a child for most magic acts, I was able to figure out how it might have been done. After seeing Marvey perform I was dumbfounded. I took my original vhs recording of the performance and watched it over and over again in slow motion until I was able to figure out how most of it was done. The martini glass bit was nice, but he flashed too much in the video, I could see how everything was done. The card production bit I was able to get the general principle of most of it and Jeff McBride was able to fill in most of the cracks for me. This was all about 10-15 years ago. I was never able to figure out how he did the open finger production for years. Until today... I've read this magic Café forum topic before but didn't have much to contribute so I stayed out of it.

Here's to hoping I found it. It costs 250 yen which amounts to about $40 US. I'm going to order it and let you guys know what pans out.

It seems that you found it on the Chinese language site, as it is not on the http://www.52magic.com site. I like to look at all the stuff they have on the English site, and have never ran across this gimmick.

They now take PayPal on the English site, and for small items it is possible to order. Larger items the postage will bankrupt a person.

That does look like it is a far representation of the gimmick. I would say as usual, the Chinese did not test the gimmick for performance. I say that because the spiral finger holder will not work in performance. It should be a clip, not something you can't get off and on easily.

Well, mystery solved, good job and persistence does pay off sometimes.
