Really fun, but not magic in this day and age. Definitely science.
I'm sure someone could make a more bizarre version of this with an old rusty bulb and weathered wood, but even then, I thing the sustained hover is a magnet give away.
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.

Oz, I agree. It seems better used as a decoration for a magic room in a home.

Thanks, Séance. Glad you like my Ghost Light routine. It’s strange to watch this video now, because the routine has evolved a bunch in the years since we recorded it. If you visit the Windy City, you can see it in person; the Ghost Light is currently the encore piece in my Cabinet of Curiosities show at the Chicago Magic Lounge.
