This afternoon I was shooting a demo video for a piece I'm making for Stevens Magic and ran into a WTF. Hope someone here can help.
The trick incorporates a fabric with a small repeating pattern. I shot the video with a Samsung Galaxy tablet, and the pattern looked fine on it. Then I imported the video into Elements to crop it a bit and add music and titles, and that's when the pattern fell apart, kinda like it "moiréd." Either that, or the resolution changed between the tablet and Elements. But the funny thing is, I checked it on Windows Movie Maker, and the pattern looked fine. I'm new at this, so don't know where to look for an answer; it could be the file type or the resolution of one or the other, or compatibility, or something else. I'm going to try re-shooting with my SLR and see what happens, but if someone can clue me in as to the problem I had, I'd really appreciate it. I'm not looking to buy a different program or a new camera -- just to get this video out.
