It's been more than a decade since I started performing Hopping Halves. it's wonderful trick, easy to perform and gets great reactions. Recently I've been looking at various websites, particularly Roy Kueppers', and I noticed that it comes in at least three varieties--expanded shell, shaved, and just plain and simple "hopping halves." What, in practical terms, are the differences between these three?

Expanded is obviously the most cost effective version which is what I thought the basic and simple version was, as the S***ls can be used for other effects.
