I'm just wondering if anyone has any insights as to what card effects Steve Cohen does. He seems to have a great style from what little I have seen of him online.

Steve used a lot of stuff he learned from my books. He considers me a mentor. Flattering.

Really according to how far into close-up card magic you already are. Beginner? My THE MAGIC BOOK was written just for you! "Past" beginner - JAW DROPPERS TWO, ONLY MY APOCALYPSE, any one of the LORAYNE: THE CLASSIC COLLECTION Volumes (except Vol. 1 - that's sold out... Vol. 2 is heading in that direction), my current/last book, AND FINALLY!. You can learn more about all - and even order - at harryloraynemagic.com .

Steve Cohen closes his show (or at least used to) with a Tamariz effect.

At 2012 He started the show with few card effects. One was boomerang card style effect where the card shot in the air was caught it the deck. He also did a version of card calling. Later in the show he did Bob Kohler's rising cards and he closed with a version of Juan Tamariz Total coincidence. I don't think he did other card effects. I have the handbill somewhere that has the list of the routines he does.

Steve is one of the few guys who does Tamariz's Total Coincidence better than Juan himself.

Not sure I agree with that. I have seen both performers do it. Both do it brilliantly. My impression is that Steve is channelling Tamariz, even down to the bouncing up and down on his toes as he builds the climax!
