Hi folks,
Earlier today I posted a question, but realized afterwards that it was long and had unnecessary info. So here's a shorter version. I'm working on a trick in which a card seems to disappear from the deck. That's where the trick ends. In fact, the card is reversed in the middle of the deck, but the spectators don't know that. I'd like to follow that trick with another two or so tricks in which the vanished card keeps turning up in unexpected ways. Does anybody have ideas for tricks that would work for this idea of the "cat comes back"? One thought I had for trick #2 was to crimp the card so that I could easily cut it to the bottom of the deck; it would now be reversed on the face of the deck, which would allow it to be used in Walter Gibson's Double-Reverse trick in one of Anneman's card magic books. I thought some of you more experienced wizards might have additional ideas. My stock of sleights is small -- I'm still practicing the DL, and it isn't bad, but I'm not planning to perform it any time soon. I can do basic stuff like DU, Braue Reversal, hold a break, and -- not so basic for me, at least, but I finally got it -- the HaLo cut. I'm working on the Biddle move and the EC. I'm not ready to learn any really advanced sleights . Thanks for any ideas! Best wishes, Bob |
