Chappy, that looks like it would suit my purpose. Is that your own creation? If not, where did you find it?
I have purchased Buckley's Card Control and already had Ouellet's Close-Up Illusions. Thank you Café! A this point, for my purposes I have found three candidate sleights: * D’Amico One Hand Second (Buckley and Marlo both describe it) * Crook Second (Ouellett describes it) * OHSD-Style One Hand Second As of now I am leaning toward the Crook. After fiddling with it for a few days, I am learning that it is a lovely technique. Here is a 29-minute live performance of mine: https://youtu.be/lq2Rj1uf05M I used to be quite sensitive to criticism; I am much less so now; so, please do criticize my technique, presentation, and posts. It helps me to grow, and I promise to take responsibility and not to be defensive. |

The Crook Move itself is a good utility technique. It's the only way I present cards for a snap change. None of the techniques mentioned here are stud deals however.
I'm curious as to what Mr. England had to say. Anyway, Good luck Shaun! |

Shaun, the technique is fully described on p.37 of Details of Deception (I try not to plug but it seems to be what you were asking).

Thank you for the reference, chappy. Details of Deception looks terrific. I've added it to my wait list of books to purchase when budget allows. It's also good to make your acquaintance! I love meeting people, like you, who are serious about sleight-of-hand with cards.
