Hello all,
I was wondering if you knew of a resource for designs for a card magic table. I really like the table that they use in the L&L Publishing videos. Thanks for your help! |

Try a look at Tabman magic by Tabby Crabb.

You don't have to make on, most Casino night party places have them. It is just a half round felt covered 3 leg table gambling poker table without the chip holders. Call a party store and see if they have a beat up one, to sell or give to you. Then clean it up.
To make one, you need to use 3/4 inch plywood, 4 foot by 4 foot. Then you need to get the folding legs, every thing is available at an Home improvement store. A jig saw and an electric saw. What will be the most expensive is the pool table felt, can only get from a pool table store. Next expensive will be the foam, foam has shot up in price over the years. You could just take it to an upholstery repair store and have them cover it, so you don't spoil the felt. Maybe I did not see the same table as you, if it the exotic wood table Tabby and others have made, that is another story. They use to sell for $800 and up. Now with the increased prices I am sure it is over a $1,200. There is little chance you could make one, without spending a year in wood shop classes. It is really fine furniture. The varnishing alone takes over a week to do in a dust free room. Look up on the internet, how to make an exotic wood dining table, that will give you what you need to know and your foundation to start. Check with the wife, if she will let you keep it in her house first. |

If you decide to make one you might go to an auto repair shop that installs head liners it already has felt like material with the foam attached and you can get it in about any color. Most shops even has some scraps left over that they might be willing to give you.
