Hi friends. I am not sure if there is a category that is below newbie or novice but that is probably me. I am 64 and have always been fascinated by slights and card tricks and hope to someday be at least proficient enough to entertain my great grandchildren. I have no great grandchildren at this time, only two grandsons but it will probably take me that long to develop any appreciable skills!

Welcome, Stevan! At 64 you are still a youngster (I'm 77) with plenty of time to learn. Suggestion: If you live in a metropolitan area, check your local phone book for magic shops near you. They're great places to "rub elbows" with other magic-minded guys and gals and sample different types of tricks to discover which ones mesh with your personality and skills. -- Good luck!
Never try to teach a pig how to sing. You will waste your time, and it annoys the pig.
