Hi everyone
As you can see yet another Brit has found his way to this esteemed establishment. My name is Tony and yes, I work in tax - hence the highly imaginative username. Please do not panic, log off and desert me - I do not work for the IRS or the Inland Revenue! I work in the Telecomms industry doing my best to keep our company's tax man happy. I am 34 and have been trying to do mainly card magic for about 4 months now - and like baldman wish I had started years ago. I seem to be addicted to magic, with every spare minute spent reading magic books, watching magic videos and practicing. At the moment I am still like a kid in a sweet shop (candy shop for our US friends!) There is so much stuff available - I am in danger of trying to learn too much too soon and failing. I know I shoud be taking things one effect at a time. Then with a handful of well prepared effects I'd be more confident about moving onto audiences that did not consist of friends & family! I think that's enough from me for now! Regards TonyTax

Welcome Friend Tony!
It is good that you recognize the danger of tyrying to learn too much too fast. Also as an extra tidbit, I would day - dont buy everything you think is magic. I did that for a long time, and now have settled into actually learning from the books and tapes I own, and the magic is not only better, it is much less expensive! Glad to have you here. BroDavid

Welcome to the cafe! Don't worry about becoming addicted to magic!! I think you have a lot of company there! As for trying to do too much too soon, I've been there, and eventually, you will find your little niche...I know I did (notice the straitjacket and you can guess what my niche is!) Welcome, again!
