Just looking for some advice......I have an old Brass Ring Casket that seems to be missing the inner cork used to separate the "secret" part from the lid. Just wondering if anyone has had that happen, and if there's an easy DIY fix for the missing cork. (If I drank wine, I probably wouldn't have this problem). LOL
I'm thinking if maybe I can fold up a sheet of paper and then roll it into a circular ball or something to mimic a cork.....just curious if anyone else had ideas. I don't remember where I purchased this thing from, and I'm sure it's just a generic brass ring casket (nothing special or high end). |

Any craft stores near you? There are many crafts that use cork, cork plugs, cork balls...
Some sporting goods stores have corks for fishing. Perhaps a piece of styrofoam cut to shape? |

Hardware stores have bottle corks, tapered sides, from very small half inch to large thermos bottle size. They are in the specialty section. Ace Hardware and other chain hardware stores carry them. They also carry them in black rubber. They are sold individually, so you they are only a few cents each.

Wravyn and Bill - Thank you both so much for those suggestions! I never even thought about those options. There is a local Michael's craft store near me, so I'll head over there this weekend to see if I can find something. I appreciate you helping out!

Michael's definitely has them. All kinds of assorted corks.
