I made the huge mistake of letting a spectator look at my m___ maiden back cards. Oof! So dumb. I like them because the m___ is very obvious to me.
Any recommendations for a m_____ deck that might be more likely to fool a spectator in the case that I'm an idiot again? Thanks! |

If they suspect a marked deck you've already lost.
Almost any marked deck will be given away by a simple riffle check. If you have to let them examine the cards, start with a normal deck and do a couple tricks with that... put them away* to do a coin trick or something else, then ring in your marked deck that they've "already" examined. *Or do any good deck switch. |

In Jermay's Mind (one of the lectures) Jermay shows a very bold ploy to let a marked deck come below suspicion. He tells the spectator that you can check for markings by flicking the deck and seeing if any dots move. The psychology is that you would be stupid to use a marked deck and then reveal how to check for one. I think Marc Spelmann also says he does this on his Penguin Live lecture, too.

It works, because no one have riffled through a normal deck like that, so they don't know what a normal deck would look like, and they don't know what to look for. |

Maidens are r****r's and the markings are easy to see. The best part of Maidens is they look normal so no1 bothers to even look.
Everything else requires a lot of practice. I like the mirage cards a lot because I'm an engineer and binary. The split lions are sweet too, but IMO too much practice required. |
